FTPI 2007-1 recommends that an integrity tank inspection be performed by a certified tank inspector every 20 years for tanks/vessels in Hazardous Substance service.

The subject photographs were taken during the external and internal certified inspections of a 20 year old 37,800 gallon aboveground storage tank in 70% sulfuric acid service at 120 degrees F. located on the Houston, Texas ship channel. The inspection report identified recommended repairs to extend the useful life for continued service. The follow-up inspection of the repairs was documented with photographs, elevation and plan drawings locating repair areas on both hardcopy and a CR-RW disc.
